I just received the Aukey USB 3 6-Port Hub + Ethernet Port for use with my 2015 Razer Blade (review of said Blade is coming soon).
Before you can say “why so many ports?” realize that the Razer comes with only 3 USB 3.0 ports and I had already filled them up between the Ethernet/USB (Razer doesn’t have a Ethernet jack), wireless mouse, and keyboard at the office. No room for adding an external hard drive boohoo.
Here’s what comes in the box:
The whole thing is packed nicely and the manual is quite explanatory. Note that no disk with drive was included, guess it doesn’t need it.
Here’s what the unit looks like:
And here’s what it looks like in use:
It has 6 USB 3.0 plugs for data/power and 1 for just charging your phone (no data). The Ethernet seems plenty fast and yay I don’t have USB cables coming out of the left side of my Razer Blade, blocking my view of my external monitor. So far this little guy, while a bit pricey, is meeting all my needs.
As always, purchasing through my Amazon links helps keep me going and ask any questions in the comments below.
